The New Hope Colony Foundation for the Arts is creating accessible places for artists
to work, study and collaborate to foster open-engagement, inspiration,
education and enlightenment.
Through the acquisition, restoration and adaptive reuse of historic structures and landscapes,
the Foundation hopes to establish an endowment which will provide artists with
accommodations, work studios and the ability to exhibit and share their work with the public.

Recreating the New Hope Colony Campus

Moving forward, the New Hope Colony Foundation for the Arts aims to acquire and restore the original studios and other buildings that made up the New Hope Colony.

An Outstanding Collection of Gothic Revival Buildings

"This corner of the world smiles upon me above all others." -- an instructor from the Holmquist School for Girls. The Gothic cottages and buildings were designed by Morgan Colt, an architect, painter, woodworker and iron forger who created the "English village" that is now Phillips Mill.

A Cottage Direct from England

This cottage on the campus of the New Hope Colony was brought from an estate in England and rebuilt here. It is presently a private residence.

Morgan Colt's Gothic Shop

Architect, painter, woodworker, ironworker, Morgan Colt was a true Renaissance man, living and working in the Colony from 1912 until his death in 1926.

PAFA Comes to the New Hope Colony

Students and an instructor from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, based in Philadelphia, paint "plein air" at the New Hope Colony.
